Albion Cafe
The Albion Cafe, part of the Boundary Hotel located in Shoreditch, London. This chic little cafe is unique in it's own way. It reminded me of being in a Wholefood Store. You are greeted with these stands containing fresh vegetables for sale. As you go in, the first part of the cafe is surrounded by a stacked of organic goods in shelves to be bought before dining or after or if people are just in a hurry to get some healthy lunch to go. The dining area is located beyond the shopping area. I wasn't able to take some photographs inside as I wasn't allowed to however, I have managed to do some surveying and have produced the following drawings.
The Albion Cafe and the Boundary Hotel was designed by Conran and Partners. The building used to be a printing press, they have managed to keep the original foundation of the building and have designed something rustic feel of an interior for the cafe, to somewhat connect with the products they sell - organic goods. Raw. Natural. The floor plan above shows the connection from the street to the cafe. Some tables and seats are placed outside so customers can enjoy a nice warm lunch during a sunny day out in Shoreditch.
The section above shows the shelves where all the goods are placed ready to be purchased.
This section shows the entrance and the cashier's desk as you enter and what goes behind it are more containers of ready-made sandwiches, organic food to go ready to be purchased.
